C meets are regular club events. B meets provide the full seven courses (White, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Green, Red, Blue). C meets offer a subset of these courses or another flavor of orienteering, such as Score-O.
A-meets are regional or national events for competitive orienteers. They offer courses in all competitive classes and are counted in the national rankings. These meets also have courses for recreational orienteers.
All events (A, B, C) offer beginners clinics and courses unless otherwise noted.
Rogaines are long distance team events typically run on enhanced topographic maps. There is a planning session before the event starts where the teams plot out what they think is the winning route.
Goats are mass start events with the option to skip one or two controls. The course is laid out like a traditional orienteering course that is a little longer in length.
