We had another fine day for orienteering at Willamette Park. Lots of activities other than orienteering going on around us as well. Plenty of competition on all the courses for those who wanted to be timed. Jesse (&) James took first place on the white course by a good margin. Nice to see the scouts and plenty of other kids having fun on the white course too. A few first-time orienteers had so much fun on the white course, that they returned to do the yellow course as well. Erik and Andrea (in the stroller, tightly clutching the puch card) made the swiftest tour of the yellow course. Eric, Anika, and Kathy Hall were not far behind, grass allergies and all! We had the largest turn-out on the orange course. Our two course setters, Larry and Andy, were getting bored standing around, so they ran on their own course, and not surprisingly, posted very good times. Jeff Watson was the legitimate over-all winner on the orange, but with Josh Friberg nipping at his heels. Thanks to all of you for participating, and to all those (Dave, Barb, Andy, Larry, Jeff, Paula) who volunteered to help out.
