It seems to be traditional that the sun shines on ORCA meets, but even by past standards we got lucky this year at Chip Ross. Our decision to hold a meet in February to avoid the worst of the poison oak really paid off, as there is no more beautiful place to be on a clear, sunny day. This time we dared to provide a truely advanced course and it proved very popular. It was good to see how much everyone enjoyed the courses, and we welcomed several new members. ORCA continues to grow, with more meets, more maps, more members, so keep an eye on the website for future events!

Coming meets are Avery Park (Corvallis, April 13), Alton-Baker (Eugene, May 10) and Willamette Park (Corvallis, May 31).

Thanks to Jeff, who designed the courses, though couldn't be at the meet, the landowners (City of Corvallis and Timberhill Corporation), and all who helped on the day (Mary Camarata, Sheila Halpin, Ben Legg, Mike Poulsen and Jessica Rykken).
