This year's OSU meet coincided with OSU Student orientation, the Corvallis Fall Festival and one gorgeous Sunday!
16 students including 8 Resident Advisors (RAs) joined in the friendly competition on a special student course. The RAs were joined by 2 reporters from the Corvallis Gazette-Times (click here for a pdf version of the front page write-up). The course turned out to a great way to experience more of the campus for a number of the students. The RAs took first place (by sending relay groups out to the more remote controls), finishing in 24:45.
Nathan White's 33:50 was the best individual finish. His previous orienteering experiences helped to shave seconds off him time.
Klubb member Larry O'Neill smoked the sprinters with a 31:22. Steve Trautwein pulled off an impressive 32:31 after competing in the Fall Festival 10k run earlier in the day. David & Kathy Rank walked away from their competition on the White course with a time of 32:16, while family members Elizabeth and Michael Rank took the competition with 30:40 on the yellow course.
