OSU - National Orienteering Day Results

Corvallis, Oregon

September 23, 2007

Once again, ORCA partnered with the OSU "Connect" freshman orientation program. The word is getting out. This year we had 8 student teams start, with a total of 15 students participating! Woo Hoo! Once again, Nathan White, former Boy Scout orienteer smoked the competition on the OSU Student course, finishing in 29:35. Way to go, Nathan. Just email if you're interested in catching a ride to other local events.

Erik Osborne, yes -- he came back just for our meet, ran away with the sprint. The Rank family aced the competition in white and yellow. Elizabeth and Michael finished in 28:14 on yellow, while Mom, Kathy, and little brother, David, finished the white course in 19:42.

Thanks to all to came out to find their way around campus.

Congrats to David Thomsen and Calleo on winning the NOD draw prizes. Your prize is in the mail.

Thanks to Dave for covering beginner clinics and Jeff for (as always) doing starts and finishes.
